Core genes from gene prioritization
This part will provide a gene set from our gene prioritization analysis for all BD candidate genes in BDgene. The gene prioritization is analyzed by using five multiple sources based gene prioritization tools, including Endeavour, DIR, ToppGene, ToppNet and TargetMine as what we did for ADHD in [1]. The training genes are from an extensively cited paper about hot genes of bipolar disorder [2] with one extra condition, that is the gene has at least three positive results in BDgene. In addition, two recently found important genes from GWAS (ANK3 and CACNA1C) were also included. The genes predicted by at least 3/5 tools were regarded as prioritized genes. Both training genes and prioritized genes were called 'core genes'.
