Pae, C. U., 2008 SNP: rs4305746, rs6903874, rs6937506, rs8192625
Haplotype: rs7452939 - rs6903874 - rs6937506(), rs7452939 - rs6903874 - rs6937506(GCT), rs7452939 - rs6903874 - rs6937506(GTT)
SNP rs6903874 was significantly associated with schizophrenia (p = 0.012) and bipolar disorder (p = 0.004). A three SNP haplotype consisting of alleles GCT from SNPs rs7452939, rs6903874 and rs6937506, respectively, was significantly over-represented in patients with schizophrenia (p = 0.0003) and bipolar disorder (p = 0.00002). A second three SNP haplotype (GTT) derived from the same SNPs was significantly under-represented in patients with bipolar disorder (p = 0.001). The GTT haplotype associations withstand the most rigorous corrections for multiple testing.. These findings strongly support association of the TAAR6 gene with susceptibility to both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in Korean patients. Positive Comment on Study
Pae, C. U.,2010 Haplotype: rs4305745 - rs562047 - rs452939() A significant predictive value of specific interactions between genotypes located in the investigated genes was found. We then report preliminary evidence that the epistasis between trace amine receptor 6 and heat shock protein 70 variations may compose a risk profile for major mood disorders. Abou Jamra, R.,2005(b) SNP: rs8192624, rs8192625 The combined analysis of both samples with rs8192624 resulted in a significant association (P=0.004).Our study provides evidence for the involvement of the TRAR4 locus in the etiology of BPAD. Positive Comment on Study
Venken, T., 2006 SNP: rs4305745, rs6903874, rs6937506, rs8192625 Our results do not suggest the involvement of TAAR6 as a susceptibility gene for bipolar disorder in the northern Swedish population. Negative Comment on Study
Liu, C., 2007 SNP: rs41297595, rs41297597, rs41297599, rs41297601, rs41298381, rs41298383, rs41298385, rs41298387, rs41298389, rs41298391, rs41298393, rs41298395, rs41298397, rs41298399, rs8192624, rs8192625, rs9373026 The present study did not support strong association of either common or rare variants in the TAAR6 gene with BD susceptibility, but SNPs rs8192624 and rs8192625 remain interesting for possible minor contribution to disease susceptibility.
