Detail Info
| Sample Status |
We recruited 506 patients with BPD and 507 unrelated healthy controls from Anhui province of China. Clinical diagnosis was made by at least two psychiatrists for each patient according to DSM-IV criteria. All participants were Han Chinese in origin. |
| Technique |
genotyping |
| Statistical Method |
Allele, genotype frequencies and the odds rations value were estimated using SHEsis software (available from http://analysis.bio-x.cn/myAnalysis.php/). In calculations of the possible gene-gene interactions, the data were analyzed on multifactor dimensionality reduction software (MDR 101 tutorial, Nov. 12-Dec. 4, 2006, http://www.multifactordimensionalityreduction.org/). |
| Result Summary |
We investigated one SNP (rs715505) in the SYNGR1 gene and two SNPs (rs795009 and rs308963) in the SYNII gene in patients with bipolar disorder in the Han Chinese population. And the frequencies of the alleles or genotypes did not differ significantly between the case group and the control group. No association was found in this study. |
